A long-awaited feature is finally here: with TowerBuilder, you can now onboard your own tower families directly into Shapemaker—giving you more freedom than ever to manage your tower data!
TowerBuilder provides a user-friendly way to input all your tower geometry data, from dimensions and materials to connection details and cross sections. To support you throughout the process, Shapemaker offers a detailed, up-to-date 2D visualization of the current state of the tower, helping you better understand what's missing and quickly identify any potential issues.
How to Use It
- Navigate to the ‘Database’ tab and select ’Structure families’.
- Click ‘Add structure family’ to create a new family.
- Once the family is created, you can add new tower designs—these are individual tower models that can be represented by a single drawing.
- After you finished a design, publish it to make it available in the system.
- Need to make changes? You can unpublish a design to return it to editing mode. This lets you experiment with different configurations or correct any onboarding mistakes.
